About Us

Better Leven Advancement Centre (BLAC) is a Non-Governmental Not-for-Profit Youths, Disability and Development led organization based in Nasarawa state, Nigeria. Established in 2005 to be a Hub of Persons with Disabilities, Youth, women and Children in the Communities.

BLAC seeks to improve the living standards of disadvantaged community members through Policy reforms, system strengthening and community engagement. To achieve social inclusion, deepening democratic ethos and value reorientation, BLAC uses arrays of strategies to achieve mainstreaming of children, youths, women and persons with disabilities in all policy, programs and interventions of both and non-state actors. We work to sustain community development, Policy improvement, and empowering persons with disabilities for independent living.

As a Youth and community-based organization, BLAC organizes Advocacy meetings and sensitization to achieve its mission. We also, seeks to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of Education, health, promoting gender equity, poverty reduction, women empowerment, good governance and advocacy to influence policy change.

BLAC Since 2005 has steadily gone through local and international networking to empower its members and to fulfil its roles, functions and objectives. The organization has built a permanent office at Ungwan Sarkin Noma Jos Road P.O BOX 172 Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

BLAC have registered with Ministry of Sport and Youth Development in 2007, with Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in 2015 and with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) 2010. The organization also registered with many other international, national and local Networks.
